These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website lexofile.com and the services provided by Lexofile Services Private Limited ("Lexofile", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India with its registered office in Maharashtra.
By accessing our website, booking a service, or otherwise using Lexofile, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Nature of our services
Lexofile is a technology platform that connects users with independent, verified advocates and legal professionals for various legal and compliance services, including but not limited to RTI filing, GST registration and return filing, company registration, trademark registration, gazette notifications, legal notices, and related advisory services.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use Lexofile's services. By booking a service, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to engage Lexofile for the requested service.
4. Booking and payment
- All prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Government fees, stamp duty, and other statutory charges (where applicable) are separate from our service fees and will be communicated clearly before you proceed.
- Payment must be completed through our authorized payment gateway. We do not store your card or banking details.
- A booking is confirmed only after successful payment and receipt of a booking confirmation from Lexofile.
5. Advocate engagement
Upon booking, Lexofile will assign a verified advocate or professional to handle your matter. While we take reasonable care in verifying the credentials of advocates on our platform, the professional advice and services rendered are the responsibility of the assigned advocate, in accordance with applicable professional standards.
6. Documents and accuracy
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and authentic documents and information required for your service. Lexofile and its associated advocates are not liable for delays, rejections, or legal consequences arising from incorrect, incomplete, or fraudulent information or documents provided by you.
7. Service timelines
Estimated timelines mentioned on our website (e.g., "3–5 days", "Same day") are indicative and depend on factors including government processing times, document completeness, and third-party authority response times, which are beyond our control. Lexofile will make reasonable efforts to meet stated timelines but cannot guarantee them.
8. Cancellations and refunds
- You may request cancellation of a booked service before work has commenced, by contacting us on WhatsApp or email.
- Once an advocate has begun work on your matter (including document review, drafting, or filing), the service fee becomes non-refundable, as professional time and effort have already been committed.
- Government fees and statutory charges, once paid to the relevant authority, are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Refund requests, where applicable, will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lexofile's total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question. Lexofile shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of business, profits, or data.
Lexofile is not responsible for the outcome of any government application, legal proceeding, or third-party decision (such as approval or rejection of an RTI, GST registration, gazette notification, or trademark application), as these are subject to the discretion of the relevant authority.
10. User conduct
You agree not to use Lexofile for any unlawful purpose, to provide false information, to impersonate any person, or to engage in any conduct that could harm Lexofile, its advocates, or other users.
